Known as the "The Great American Eclipse," this celestial spectacle will trace a path of totality across 13 U.S. states, including the Lone Star State of Texas.
For those seeking a memorable experience, we offer primitive camping options for both RV’s and tent campers, allowing you to partake in the array of activities the surrounding area has to offer in the days leading up to the eclipse. Available up to 5 nights, Friday, April 5th to Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, we're opening up 16 acres of our 24-acre ranch to the public. Whether you plan to make a day of it or prefer to relax and camp beneath the expansive Texas sky for an extended weekend, Moffat Sky Ranch provides the perfect setting.

Moffat is a charming community located along State Highway 36, a major route connecting Freeport to Abilene, TX. Situated just about 10 miles from both Temple and Belton, there's a wealth of activities to enjoy nearby.

While Texas is the top state for viewing the 2024 Solar Eclipse, our property is almost squarely in its path. Starting roughly @ 1:37 pm CDT, on April 8, 2024, observers at Moffat Sky Ranch will see, approximately, 4m 6.3s of totality, according to ecplise2024.org.
